Dollars rate in Our Country!

 


Our country's food is being appreciated. Last month, "Raja Salt" in Elephant Pass, Jaffna, received high praise. The Sri Lankan Rupee appreciated against the US Dollar on April 10, 2024, according to the Commercial Bank of Sri Lanka. At Seylan Bank, the buying and selling rates remained unchanged at Rs. 296.50 and Rs. 303.50, respectively. According to People’s Bank, the buying rate decreased from Rs. 297.50 to Rs. 293.50, and the selling rate from Rs. 305.52 to Rs. 302.97. Similarly, NDB Bank reported a reduction in the buying rate from Rs. 297.50 to Rs. 293.50, and the selling rate from Rs. 305.50 to Rs. 301.50.

Commercial Bank and Sampath Bank also recorded a drop in rates. The buying rate went from Rs. 293.97 to Rs. 291, and the selling rate from Rs. 303.25 to Rs. 300.25. Additionally, the consistent buying rate dropped from Rs. 296.50 to Rs. 293.50, and the selling rate from Rs. 306 to Rs. 303.50. These trends indicate an improvement in the economy, and financial needs are gradually being met. However, US tariffs remain a challenge. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced a 90-day action plan to address this situation.
